Oral Health Therapist and Myofunctional Practitioner
Kristy loves how the human body works, and dentistry allows her to help restore good oral health while still having a human biology focus to her career. She loves helping her patients overcome their dental anxiety by providing positive dental experiences. Kristy also loves to transform smiles and restore patient confidence.
Choosing A Career
Kristy wanted a career that challenged her, and pushed her to always improve and develop herself as an individual. Her dental career has done all this and more.
She graduated in 2010 with a Bachelor of Oral Health and Oral Health Therapy, and a Bachelor of Psychology. She has also earned a certificate in Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy.
Kristy always seeks out professional development opportunities to help expand and refine her knowledge and skills in paediatric oral health. With a keen interest in myofunctional dentistry, she constantly looks for additional training to help her patients with their myofunctional disorders.
Focusing On Our Youngest Patients
Kristy has a passion for paediatric dentistry. She wants to ensure children have positive dental experiences, and are aware of the importance of good oral health. She believes her psychology degree helps her be a better clinician.
She tries to ensure her patients develop a positive relationship with their dental practitioner, so they can have a lifelong positive relationship with their oral health. Kids love Kristy’s warm personality, and that’s one reason schools welcome her to educate children in oral health habits.
